The Iron Code Launches on 28 July 2026: 

Fantasy readers can look forward to the release of The Iron Code on 28 July 2026. Published by NewCon Press and edited by Ian Whates, this special anthology celebrates the life and literary legacy of David Gemmell through twenty-one brand-new stories by an exceptional collection of contemporary fantasy authors.

Inspired by Gemmell’s enduring themes of courage, honour, sacrifice, and heroism, the anthology showcases contributions from many of today’s leading fantasy writers. The collection is complemented by striking cover artwork from renowned fantasy illustrator Fangorn and will be available in paperback, ebook, and a limited signed hardback edition.

Gemmellfest Charity Evening 2027:

We’re delighted to announce that Gemmellfest Charity Evening 2027 will take place on Saturday, 27 February 2027, at Weetwood Hall Estate, Leeds. The venue has kindly reserved the date for us, and we’re currently finalising the arrangements, completing the contract, and securing the booking with the reservation deposit. This year we’ll be enjoying a larger event space than in previous years. If you joined us last year, you’ll recognise it as the area where many of us gathered after The Stables closed—and where breakfast was served the following morning.

Tickets are £40 per person, which includes: Evening buffet, A donation to our chosen charity, Macmillan Cancer Support, and entry into our charity prize draw, which will take place during the evening. To secure your place, we ask for an initial deposit of £20 per person, with the remaining balance payable one month before the event. Once your deposit has been received, you’ll be added to the Gemmellfest ’27 Facebook Group, where event updates and additional information will be shared.
